Christmas Number 1?
I have been feeling the need to do something creative lately which is the reason that I started this blog. Well I have been trying to join in/help out on any sort of project that gives me something to do in my spare time. I have been trying my hand at some basic art design which I am not that great at it but it’s fun to try, writing as many articles about gaming as I can and I have been helping out in an online campaign to get Biffy Clyro’s single ‘Many of Horror’ to be Christmas number 1 in the UK.
It has been quite interesting contacting Radio stations, finding ways of buying the single for free and just having fun while doing it. I think this sort of thing will happen every Christmas in the UK until Simon Cowell decides to stop the damn X factor. It all started last year when Rage against the Machine’s ‘Killing in the Name of’ beat Joe Mcelderry’s version of ‘The Climb’ to Christmas number one.
This year there are several contenders aiming to knock Matt Cardle off the top spot. Along with Biffy Clyro there is the Trashmen’s ‘Bird is the Word’ from that Family Guy episode, John Cage’s silent song 4’33 and X-ma$ by Corey Taylor of Slipknot. It’s looking like Matt Cardle is going to take top spot but there is no harm in helping out a band who deserve more recognition.
I still haven’t found the usb cable for my camera even after a massive clear out of my bedroom. With the rate the post is going in the UK at the moment and because I will be spending the holidays with my girlfriend and her family at Center Parcs, Longleat I will probably start uploading pictures in the New Year.
On the gaming front my backlog of games doesn’t look like getting cleared any time soon. I only have a couple more free days before I go away and I have just bought the new DLC for Trials HD. I have raced through most of the 40 new tracks which are as usual extremely tough and very frustrating. I especially enjoyed the tracks that were made by the gamers who won the Red Lynx run competition where the best designed tracks made it into the game. They were all very inventive and it’s nice to see some talented gamers who are just as inspired as the developers. Valve are also taking this stance by making the next few Mutations on Left 4 Dead 2 community created ones. Not only do these talented individuals get their work into the hands of the masses they get the credit for it and the most important thing money!
For most gamers getting their ideas into a mainstream game is a dream they will never fulfil (me included) but I’m glad game developers are recognising new talent as the industry can always learn from these upcoming individuals. If there are any budding designers out there the best place to start may be with Little Big Planet!
Anyway Happy Christmas and hopefully I can start posting regularly on here next year…

A shiny new blog appears!
Hello everyone, as you can tell this is my first blog on wordpress. Actually i don’t know who everyone is as nobody knows that i am writing this yet. My name is Ryan. I am 23 from England.
I have been writing a blog of sorts for the last 9 months on a social gaming website called crosseyedgamer.com. I will link my posts on there at some point if anyone is interested in reading my thoughts on gaming so far this year.
So I am a gamer. There I’ve said it. Gaming will make up a vast majority of the things that I will be writing about on here. If I am not directly writing about gaming it will probably be linked to gaming in some way. I am interested in some other things but I tend to keep up with the gaming world more than anything else.
I am really passionate about anything Xbox 360 and I also play the Wii and DS fairly often so expect some posts about all of those.
Once I find my USB lead for my camera I will start uploading some random pictures to help me tell my tales of wonder.
Thanks for reading
